Youth Group
GSA - Youth Group
Youth ages 20 and under are able to come together with other youth with common interests, beliefs, thoughts, ages and backgrounds to talk about issues they may not feel comfortable discussing with others in their day-to-day lives.
Social groups are always facilitated by trained adult facilitators who are positive adult role models. Facilitators help the youth establish guidelines to keep their conversations focused and their relationships positive. This group is open to any youth under the age of 18 who is gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, pansexual or allied (a person who supports all the others, but may identify as straight/heterosexual.)
Meets: 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, 6pm – 8pm
Youth Tutoring Program
Focuses on youth, under 18 in grades K-12, that would like extra help with school homework and understanding. This group is taught by licensed teachers from Nevada.
Meets: Weekly on 1st and 4th Thursday from, 5pm – 6pm
Trans Youth Social Group
The Center’s Transgender Program is a welcoming, affirming space for transgender and gender diverse individuals to get together and build community.
Meets: 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, 6pm – 8pm
BISEXUAL+ YOUTH SOCIAL GROUP
This is a social group for individuals who identify as bisexual+. The groups meets to provide peer support, discuss and share experiences, learn and practice effective communication to build trust and intimacy for relationships, and build a community for the bisexual+ community.
Meets: 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, 6pm – 8pm

Adult Trans Formations Social Group
Peer led social group for individuals who identify as trans men, trans masculine and/or female-to-male (FtM), trans women, trans feminine and/or male-to-female (MtF). This is a safe, drop-in space providing peer-run social support, engaging conversation, and relevant resources to attendees.
Meets: 3rd Wednesday each month 630 – 8pm

A senior group that works to educate Henderson, NV LGBTQ senior’s through action by being positive role models and contributing members of the community at large, connecting LGBTQ senior’s to the resources needed to make informed decisions, respecting them as the unique individuals that they are while also respecting their family of choice and empowering them by reinforcing the belief that every human being has the inherent right to be whom and what they want to be. 55+, Come out and meet other Seniors, Food, Soda, Coffee, Games, Socialize!

Rainbow Equality 12 Steps - AA Support Group
If you, a friend, or a loved one suffers from alcohol use, understand you are not alone. Transitioning to a life of sobriety is a big step. This is a support group for individuals who would like to share their story and support others.

Crystal Clear Anonymous Support Group
If you, a friend, or a loved one suffers from Crystal Meth use, understand you are not alone. Transitioning to a life of sobriety is a big step. This is a support group for individuals who would like to share their story and support others.

LSN - Lesbian Social Network
Lesbian Social Network (LSN) is an open topic group run by women for women.
Ages 18 and older, who identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer, or are questioning their sexuality.

Are you a parent of a LGBTQ child? Want to meet other parents? Or just have questions you would like to understand? This group is for parents to meet other parents and socialize.

Veteran's Social Group
A LGBTQ Social Group for our Veteran’s. Meet other Veteran’s, talk, socialize, and be part of something amazing for the men and women that have served our country.

3D Printing Class
Are you interested in learning how to 3D Print? Henderson Equality Center will be teaching a monthly class on how to program, design, create and print your favorite 3D objects out. Open to ages 13 and older. No experience needed to join teaching class. Class is FREE.

Reiki Circle By sharyn mitchell
Meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 630pm – 8:30pm. Meditation starts at 7pm, once started, no others will be permitted into the meditation circle. First 30 mins is open discussion time followed by group meditation. This circle is for anyone who would like to know more about what Reiki is, meet new people and be able to experience what Reiki is first hand.

Job Readiness
Programs
Employment Readiness Training
Our Employment Readiness training aims to change participants’ attitudes toward authority,
culture and peers, enabling them to succeed in further skills training or education programs
as well as the workplace.
The employment model is the Job Readiness training, a four-week workshop that takes a
tough love, no excuses approach to work readiness. This curriculum delves into the root
causes of a person’s inability to obtain and keep a job, mentoring participants towards the
attitudes and workplace behaviors they need to overcome employment obstacles and
transform their lives. Activities are conducted through individual and team-based
assignments, in-class exercises, and classroom seminars and cover the following
components:
- Job readiness (Resume Building, Interviewing)
- Career development (Networking, Effective Communication)
- Computer skills training
- Customer service 101 skills
- Workplace Ethics & Behavior
- Dressing for Success (Career Gear)
- Goal Setting
A certificate is awarded upon completion of each class.
