Supporting, Connecting & Empowering Our Community
Henderson Equality Center is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals, youth, families, seniors, and allies throughout Henderson and Southern Nevada. Through social and support groups, youth programs, educational opportunities, food assistance, community resources, health and wellness connections, volunteer opportunities, and community events, we work to strengthen our community and ensure everyone has access to support, connection, and resources.
Social and Support Groups
Youth Groups meet bi-weekly and offer youth a safe space to unwind, meet others and enjoy fun activities and games. We also have weekly tutoring programs for youth 18 and under.
Transformations: These include a number of trans-related groups of all ages, from youth, adult social groups. Various trans-focused workshops and programs are designed for trans*-identified and/or questioning individuals.
Senior Men’s Group provides a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ seniors to connect, build friendships, share experiences, and access valuable community resources. The group encourages positive engagement, meaningful connections, and opportunities for seniors to remain active and involved in the community.
Adult Groups we offer various groups, TransGender, Bisexual, Hula, Same Sex Parents, LSN, , Equality in Recovery NA group, AA, Crystal Meth Anonymous. Groups meet weekly and some bi-monthly.
